Ruger's Story

Ruger is a 1.5 year old neutered and lab/terrier mix likely. 85 lbs. Current on vaccines. Microchipped. He was adopted from us as a 4 month old puppy originally. Owner just returned this sweet boy. He is dog friendly and cat friendly. Now he has warmed up to our helpers and is giving them kisses and laying on their laps! He wants loving and to play! He did well with other dogs, cats and kids in the past. Previous owner said he didn't like small dogs. He is currently in foster with a dog trainer and he is doing great with all 5 dogs free in the fenced in yard! We recently tested him and he is negative for heartworm and Lyme and other tick borne diseases. If interested in meeting him or adopting Ruger please text Casey at 570-441-0083. We adopt to the general public but we also provide companion animals or emotional support dogs to our military veterans at no charge. Available dogs are posted on our website https://rescuepetsservingvets.org

Our adoption process begins with submitting an adoption application. Once submitted we will contact you to discuss the pet you are interested in and arrange a meet and greet. If you are still interested in adoption after meeting the pet, a home site visit can be arranged. All pets will be current on vaccines and if age appropriate will be neutered or spayed prior to adoption. If the pet is too young to be neutered or adopted an individual can foster to adopt and the adoption process can be complete following the surgical sterilization.
