This sweet, approximately 7-month-old male Mountain Cur mix is looking for a loving family who can give him the time and patience he needs to heal and thrive.<br/><br/>Ruger is recovering from a previous leg injury. Nothing is broken, but a possible strain or sprain requires rest and limited activity. He has made wonderful progress over the past month. Like any puppy, he wants to run, jump, and play, so his family will need to help him keep those activities to a minimum during his recovery.<br/><br/>An only-dog home is preferred for now to help keep him calm and reduce the temptation to play. Older children who can understand and respect his temporary limitations would be the best fit.<br/><br/>Ruger is crate trained, food motivated, and doing well on a leash. He has so much potential and a lifetime of companionship ahead of him.
