Say hello to Rufus, the 63 lb., four-year-old fun and energetic boy who loves to be included in absolutely everything, from board meetings to walks to family dinners. Rufus just wants to be by your side and is at his happiest when he's invited along! Don't let his energy fool you though- when it's time to relax, Rufus is ready for it and will happily chill while you go about your business. Rufus is friendly with other dogs and even though he is big and strong, he is learning to walk nicely on a leash and loves to sit for a "Good boy!" When you bring out the toys, whether a ball, a rope or a stuffy, Rufus bounces around like a puppy, ready for action! If you are looking for a well rounded dog who likes a balance of chill time and activity, Rufus might be your new best friend.<br/><br/>Rufus is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe's Adoption Policy

Every pet adopted from the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated & microchipped. Our adoption fees are as follows: Dogs (over four months) = $150 Puppies (under four months) = $200 Cats (over four months) = $75 Kittens (under four months) = $100 Adoption fees will be due upon completion of adoption. Cash, check or credit cards are gladly accepted. Our shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 pm. We are located at 10961 Stevens Lane in Truckee just off Donner Pass Rd. east of downtown.
