Ruffles is a gorgeous mix of stunning amber eyes, a beautiful wavy coat, and a butt that wiggles from her shoulders to the tip of her tail. This 8 mos old golden x girl can be shy with new people to start, but for those in her circle of trust, she is a loving and playful soul - once you are deemed a friend, you are a friend for life. For those who have never shared their lives with a shy dog, there is no way to explain how much love these dogs give to their people. When you open your heart to a shyer dog, you enter a world of utter love and connection. Ruffles is going to shine her light on her people and while she is not a potato chip, the analogy is real - once you meet her you will want to see her again and again and again until she is in your car and on her way to your life.

Ruffles began her life in a barn which means she has not had a big life up until this point, but it also means that she is good with horses, cats and other dogs. She gravitates to all dogs and she perks up and starts wagging her tail as soon as she sees one. Ruffles will do well in a home with another dog as she is playful and dog social, and she will be able to gain confidence from a more worldly dog brother or sister. Ruffles loves to play chase with her dog friends and her network of playmates keeps expanding because she hasn't met one she doesn't like! Ruffles would also benefit from kind and patient parents who will continue to build her confidence and give her the life that she didn't have early on.

Ruffles is a lovely mix of golden retriever and lab which gives her her temperament and medium length coat, plus some bonus genes that give her some big brown splotches of colour and the dewclaws on her back feet. It's impossible to guess how big a young dog will become when they have finished growing, but Ruffles is currently golden retriever size and she has not grown since coming into care. Ruffles has a beautiful face with two multi colouried spots that encircle her eyes which are stunning and expressive. With her floppy ears and curious expression, along with her hind end that kicks up when she runs, she embodies gratitude for the new experiences she is having and the people and dogs she is meeting.

Ruffles would love to stay in the country because that is what she's used to and the hustle and bustle of busy places is not her speed. Ruffles is up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and will be spayed and microchipped shortly. Her adoption fee is $750. She is currently fostering in Kingston.
