Rudy's Story

This sweet boy was abandoned and unwanted in a remote and crowded shelter, but now he falls asleep in a warm soft bed in his Dogwood foster home.

Rudy is a small mixed breed, with maybe some Chihuahua and we're guessing some Miniature Pinscher. He's 11 pounds, and could use a pound or two, and probably about 5 years old. He's forwardly social and friendly to dogs and people so far. If given the chance, Rudy will cuddle next to you and likes to be close to his person, but will move easily if it's too much. At 5, he's very spry and when he starts playing or wants something from your hand, he jumps and spins like a dervish! Not much for fetching balls, but he likes throwing his plushy toys up in the air and then pouncing on them. He's very food motivated, but that might be from his time on the streets. We're working with him on potty training with lots of progress being made. He doesn't even mind going out to potty in the rain - a big plus for a little dog. Rudy is crate trained and sleeps quietly at night.

Applications at:

http://dogwoodanimalrescue.org/adoption-application-dogs/

You can follow us on social media at:

https://.www.instagram.com/dogwoodanimalrescue/
https://.www.facebook.com/.DogwoodAnimalRescue/

Making a difference, one animal at a time.
