Rudy's Story

For days, Animal Control has been trying to catch 2 feral puppies right on the state line. Yesterday, we were able to catch one, and we named him Rudy.

Rudy is just a baby- six months at best. He is about 20 pounds and needs some TLC. He’s terrified of everyone and everything, but in less than 24 hours, we’re already getting tail wags and nibbling on treats. As you can see, he has a pretty gnarly gash on his inner thigh. The vet said only time will heal it, and it’s not possible to stitch it up.

At some point, he probably got hung up in the cattle fencing when he was running scared.

With that being said, we are looking for a foster (with the intent to adopt) to help this lil boy- physically, mentally and emotionally. We are unsure of how he would do with other dogs, cats, and we would recommend a home without small children (screaming and fast movements are the last thing he needs right now).
