Rudy's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*Update*Rudy was returned to us due to unforseen circumstances at his adoptive home. He is still the fun loving goofy boy we knew before. He loves to romp aroud and go for short walks. He is working on losing weight and getting back in shape! Rudy would prefer a home without kids. He would love a doggie friend about the same size as him (see video!!!)! His foster parents are working with him so much to help him be the best dog he can be! He recently got a clean bill of health from the vet so he is ready for his next chapter! Apply to meet him today! His approximate DOB is 4/13/22Our adora-adopt-abull tricolor pup Rudy came to us from MHS Detroit. He was found by a Good Samaritan who found him severely injured in an abandoned lot somewhere in the city. Rudy was approximately 8 weeks old and had an extreme bite wound to his face and back. He was taken directly to MHS where his was cared for and treated. Rudy also has some noticeable neurological issues. We don't know if its from the injuries or something he was born with. He walks a little unsteady, but it doesn't slow him down too much. He still likes running around with his foster siblings. Rudy has completed PT during which his gait and walking ability greatly improved. However, he still requires rugs or carpet to get around easily. He also still cant navigate more than 3-4 stairs so his ideal home would be a ranch or a bungalow. He loves people so much and just wants to get close to you. He also loves dogs and could get along with a like sized female dog that is well trained and tolerant. Applications are at busterdogs.com. Be sure to read all adoption requirements before applying! 11/21/25 2:25 AM
