Rudy's Story

Rudy is a young Dobie boy (1-2 years old) who was rescued from an upstate animal shelter in October, 2019. He was absolutely emaciated, probably having been a stray for weeks before being impounded at his shelter. He's charming and lovable, though unfortunately he doesn't like other dogs of either sex, perhaps from having had to fight for his food during his stray period. Rudy is still lightweight and he's small-boned, so he'll probably always weigh 60 pounds or less.

Dobie and Little Paws Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please fill out an adoption application and email it to us at dobierescue@earthlink.net You can then make an appointment to meet the dogs that match what you're looking for if we have any appropriate candidates. Male Dobermans are a $300 donation and currently females are $350. Unfortunately we are having a really hard time getting spay appointments and we have to pay more for their surgeries so we have to ask a higher donation to make ends meet. All dogs go home spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and with a collar/ID tag.
