Meet Rudo
Meet Rudo, an almost 7-month-old American Bulldog mix with a mostly white coat accented by brindle and black patches. This handsome guy weighs 32 pounds and is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative (preventative due July 1).
Rudo is a super sweet, happy pup who's ready to find his forever family. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and walks easily on a leash. He's great with children and other dogs, and while he's probably okay with cats, his interest seems more playful than anything else. He's shown no interest in other animals, aside from their food and treats.
**Personality & Traits:**
Rudo is at a great age, having left much of the typical puppy mischief behind. He bonds quickly with new people and adjusts easily to new environments. While he enjoys playing with other dogs, he's just as happy to snuggle with people when playtime is over. He might not be your outdoor adventure buddy, as he's a bit skeptical of the dog pool and tends to overheat easily (likely due to his Bulldog/Boxer genes), so keeping him cool is important.
**Training & Behavior:**
Rudo is quick to pick up commands, though he's more of a "one and done" type of learner. He's not high energy or high drive but is quite content with moderate play and snuggles. He does get a bit mouthy with toys and treats, so he's working on taking them gently.
Since he's still exploring his environment, he has a tendency to chew on things left within reach, but he's easily redirected to dog toys. He's also been known to counter-surf a bit, but corrects easily. Rudo gets nervous during car rides, often shaking, but he loves arriving at new places and making friends.
While he may not be much of a watchdog right now, preferring to let his foster sibling handle the barking duties, he does have a wide range of cute noises he makes, especially when he's excited or waking up.
