Meet Ruby! SEE STRAYCATION UPDATES! SEEKING FULL-TIME EXPERIENCED FOSTER!

This one-year-old brindled beauty is just 38 pounds and is the most lovable terrier in town! Her pictures don't do her justice!

Ruby enjoyed a few days away from the kennel and we are excited to share what we've learned about this beautiful girl. She is now back at the kennel and we are still searching for a full-time foster for her. Ruby picked up house-training very quickly and was also doing well with her crate-training while she was in foster.

This stunning pocket pittie can put a smile on anyone's face! She's the best combo of curious and cuddly! Ruby wants to much to please you and when she looks up a you with those endearing eyes of hers, you'll want to make her part of your family that instant.

Ruby is a girl who knows what she likes and what she likes is TOYS! No matter the shape or size, Ruby will always find joy in playing. She likes to alternate her time between playtime and napping on the couch. Due to her extended time at the kennel, Ruby will need an experienced, patient adopter who will give her the time she needs to decompress. She will thrive in a home with a routine and a capable handler who can provide her the activity and stimulation she needs. We promise you she will repay you for your kindness for many years to come!

Tolerant of handling, Ruby knows sit, and takes her treats gently. She just so happens to give great kisses too! She rides well in the car and enjoys exploring the world around her. As she is still a young lady, she will benefit from structured training, daily exercise, and a yard to enjoy in her new home (tie-out or fenced-in required). At the end of the day, Ruby slept quietly through the night.

Based on our evaluation, we feel Ruby would do best in an active home with adults or families with kids ages 16 and up. She may have the capacity to live in a home with other dogs and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby.

If you think she could be the pup for you, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for our darling Ruby!
