Ruby

Ruby is a 4-year-old Lab mix who is, by any reasonable standard, an extremely nice dog. She loves people, has excellent manners, and is one of those dogs you can take places without spending the entire outing apologizing for her. She is happy to meet people, behaves beautifully in public, and is perfectly comfortable around other dogs when she is out and about.

At home, Ruby would prefer not to have roommates of the four-legged variety. She is happy to coexist with dogs in the wider world, but she does not especially want to share her house, her toys or her people with one. Fair enough. Some of us also prefer our friends to go home eventually.

Her great loves are playing ball and carrying around squeaky toys, which she takes very seriously. She is playful without being ridiculous, affectionate without being needy, and wonderfully easy to live with. She settles nicely in the house and is very happy hanging out with her people when the entertainment portion of the day is over. Cats are probably not going to appreciate Ruby's particular brand of interest in them, so we are looking for a cat-free home.

If you are looking for one really good dog rather than assembling an entire collection, Ruby is an excellent candidate. She is fun, well mannered, affectionate and uncomplicated. Give her a ball, a squeaky toy, a comfortable place to sleep and people of her own, and Ruby will consider the arrangement entirely satisfactory.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/dog-adoption/.
