Ruby's Story

6 y/o Ruby was found stray with a huge laceration on her neck. The Good Samaritan who found her, took Ruby in for emergency care before contacting HBHR for assistance. The wound healed up well and the hair in growing back in on this petite red tick girl!<br/><br/>Ruby is a mighty midget! She loves to play but makes sure the ‘big’ boys know that she is in charge. She can be very defensive around larger dogs with warning barks to keep them away from her. Ruby has good house manners and generally leaves things alone that do not belong to the pack.<br/><br/>Ruby is friendly with people and enjoys a good cuddle. She is fine around kids and enjoys the company of other small girls which is unusual with an alpha female! Ruby will make a wonderful companion for your family. You will just need to give her time to get to know and trust you.

Houston Beagle Rescue's Adoption Policy

All potential adopters must be at least 18 years of age, must complete our application to adopt, and must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adoption fees are $300 for adult purebred beagles or coonhounds, $250 for mixed beagles or hounds, $200 for seniors or special needs dogs, and $350 for puppies 8 months or younger,
