Meet Ruby
Look at those ears! All the better to hear you with. Ruby is estimated to be somewhere around 12 years old. She still has a lot of life left and is happy to just be with you. She is calm with a very sweet and gentle disposition. She is a petite 10 lbs. She was very thin when we got her but she's an eager eater so she is gaining some weight.
Ruby was set to be euthanized at the shelter - solely because she is a senior. Her "medical" issues were typical old dog issues - nothing that should have landed her on the red list. We got her a dental a few weeks ago and she has a spay appointment on Nov. 30th. She is appropriately vaccinated for her age and is microchipped. We are a small rescue without a lot of resources, but we feel that dentals are a major expense that most people don't want to take on and keeps people from committing to a senior dog, so we covered that.
