Ruby’s story doesn’t start the way we wish it did... she was abandoned in a home alongside another dog, left behind and unsure of what would come next. Thankfully, she was brought to safety but while her former companion has already found their forever home, Ruby is still waiting for hers.<br/>Despite everything she’s been through, Ruby is truly a sweet girl at heart. She does, however, show signs of fear-based reactivity, which means she’s looking for a very special home one with someone who understands dog behavior, can read her cues, and is willing to give her the patience and guidance she needs to feel safe and secure.<br/>Ruby would do best as the only pet in an adult-only home, where she can have a calm and predictable environment. She thrives when she has space to decompress and absolutely loves spending time outdoors.<br/>Ruby isn’t a “plug-and-play” dog, but for the right person, she has so much love to give.
