PUPPY AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!<br/><br/>Bella’s puppies were born on March 7, and the young family came to Kiko just three days later. Sweet Bella is a sweet medium-sized mixed breed, but we don’t know anything about the dad.<br/><br/>Ruby had her first vet visit on April 30 and was given a clean bill of health. She weighed 5.6 kg and is estimated to grow to anywhere between 20 to 30 kg. At 17 kg, her mom is still a little underweight from the toll of raising her offspring. Ruby has been eating puppy kibble for a month, but Bella is very patient and still allows her to nurse. <br/><br/>We are accepting applications for Ruby and she'll be ready to go to her new home as of May 16. This will give her a good ten weeks with her mom and siblings for optimal behavioural and social development.<br/><br/>It’s rewarding to watch a pup grow and learn, but we cannot stress enough how much work having a puppy is. While housetraining has started, there will be accidents in the house, and items left unattended will be tempting for an unsupervised puppy. Please be sure that all family members are on board and ready for a lifetime commitment.<br/><br/>Our adoption fee for puppies is $795 and includes first vaccination, two deworming treatments, microchip, and sterilization at our vet at about 10 months of age as recommended by our vet.<br/><br/>If you’re interested in adopting Jewel, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at www.kikodogrescue.ca. We are active in the Greater Montreal and Eastern Ontario areas and are also open to applicants from elsewhere willing to drive to us.
