At 3.5 years old, this beautiful Keeshond has left her breeding days far behind her and is learning what it means to be part of a loving home. After spending her first three years in isolation, she’s been with KRO for a while now, slowly gaining confidence and discovering the world at her own pace.<br/><br/>Ruby is happiest in a calm, familiar environment and truly shines when she’s just hanging out at home. She’s wonderful with cats, but other dogs aren’t really her style—she can be a bit of a bully, so a pet-free (or cat-only) home is best. Outside, she loves to watch (and chase!) squirrels, so a fully secure, fenced yard is a must for her safety and happiness.<br/><br/>Though she can be nervous when taken out of her comfort zone, Ruby’s sweetness is undeniable. With patience, understanding, and a peaceful home, she’ll continue to blossom into the companion she was always meant to be.<br/>Sadly, long distance placements will not work for this girl.
