Rubie's Story
Rubie (Ruby) is a sweet, playful, energetic pup who joined the rescue as her family is no longer able to care for her. She currently lives with small kids and a small dog and has previously socialized with other pups<br/><br/>Meet this beautiful 4-year-old Border Collie Ruby who's ready to put her smarts and spirit to work in a forever home!<br/><br/>She loves to train and thrives on activity so an active household would be her dream come true. She's crate trained and fully potty trained making her an easy fit into any type of routine.<br/><br/>On leash, she can show some mild reactivity (pulling and occasional barking), but is easily redirected with treats, so continued positive, reward-based training will help her thrive in a new household. <br/><br/>Around new dogs she may be timid at first, but once she feels safe and comfortable, her playful side comes out!<br/><br/>When it comes to affection, she's a bit of an independent lady. She enjoys pets and attention and will never turn them down--but she prefers affection on her own terms and will politely let you know when she's had enough.<br/><br/>Also fun fact: she absolutely loves fishing cucumbers out of her bowl, it's her own personal game she's perfected over the years.<br/><br/>If you're looking for a smart, active, and wonderfully quirky companion who will thrive with guidance, patience, and love, this special girl might be your perfect match.
