Roxy's Story

Meet Roxy!
Roxy is a beautiful and energetic Beagle/Heeler mix looking for her forever home! She is an active girl who thrives on adventure and loves staying busy. Whether it's hiking long trails, running around the yard, or playing a lively game of tug or fetch, Roxy is always ready to go!
Once Roxy knows and trusts you, she transforms into a sweet, loyal snuggle bug who just wants to curl up in your lap and be close. She can be shy and nervous with strangers at first, but with patience and consistency, she warms up and forms strong bonds.
Roxy is a great walking companion! She walks well on a leash with minimal pulling and responds well to food-based redirection, making her easy to train and manage on outings.
Due to her strong personality and specific needs, Roxy must be the only pet in the house-she does not get along with other dogs or cats. She can also be possessive of her food and may growl or bite if approached while eating. She is currently working on this behavior and is making great progress, but she needs a home where her boundaries will be respected and training will be ongoing.
Because of her nervous nature, Roxy should not be placed in a home with young children. Sudden movements and unpredictable behavior can be overwhelming for her. She would do best in a home with someone who understands that building trust takes time-and who is committed to continuing her training and providing the active lifestyle she craves.
Roxy is a smart, sensitive, and loving dog who just needs the right person to help her shine. If you're an experienced dog owner ready to give Roxy the structure, activity, and care she needs, she'll reward you with loyalty, affection, and a lifetime of companionship.
