Roxy's Story

Roxy is a social butterfly with a bubbly personality. On walks, her "houndiness" gets the better of her and she is all about following those good smells. In a harness, she walked better. After some exercise and meeting her functional needs, Roxy is happy to settle in next to her person and lean in for affections. She seems to already know Sit and will benefit from continued reward-based training as she works on the basic manners and leash walking skills. Roxy can be vocal and likes to sing the song-of-her-people at times. When meeting new dogs, Roxy vacillated between being playful and neutral depending on whom she was greeting.

Roxy is a medium sized dog with a stocky, low-ridder frame. She gives Bassett Hound vibes but without a DNA test we cannot confirm her breed(s). She is approximately 6 years young and currently weighs 42 pounds.

Roxy has received her full-service vet care, vaccines, pre-adoption behavior support, microchip and is spayed. To meet this dog or any of our other ready-for-adoption dogs, visit Gigi's during our open adoption hours listed on www.gigis.org. By adopting a Gigi’s Grad, you are helping other shelter dogs in need get vital care and an opportunity to find a new family, just like yours — together we’re improving the lives of shelter dogs™.

Gigi's offers Training and Puppy Classes, as well as Private Behavior sessions and Veterinary Behavioral options to help get families and their new furry family members off on the right paw!
