Roxy's Story

Hi, my name is Roxy! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Silly, energetic, strong-willed, friendly, affectionate (did we mention high energy?)

-Can Live with Kids: Unknown history. Would likely do best with older, respectful kids experienced with large breed dogs. Recommending 8+ at this time.

-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history, Huskies do tend to have a prey drive so she may do best in a cat-free home.

-Can Live with Dogs: Yes - Roxy could live with a tolerant dog of similar size/energy. All initial introductions are facilitated at WHS.

-Can do Apartment Living: No, thanks! This high energy Northern breed would love a home with a yard (fenced would be great!)

-Potty Trained: Appears to be!

-Bite History: No

-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: No

-Energy Level: High

-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Spay/microchip

Meet Roxy- your classic Husky with the energy and antics to prove it! Roxy is a silly, fun-loving gal who'd love an adopter that can keep up. Regular brushing and grooming will be key for this dense-coated Husky. Adventurous and smart, a home who can provide her with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation will be necessary to keep her happy (and out of trouble!)

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
