Roxy's Story

Meet Roxy!

Roxy is a 4-year-old, 63-pound Hound mix with the cutest little stumpy legs, a gorgeous brindle coat, and a heart as sweet as they come.

Roxy joined the CARE family after we spotted her at Animal Control with her newborn puppies. She was an incredible mama and did a beautiful job raising her little family at the CARE Sanctuary. One by one, all of her puppies have found their perfect forever families-and now, it's Roxy's turn to shine!

Once Roxy feels comfortable and knows she is safe, her sweet and playful personality comes to life. She loves chewing on her Nylabones and playing with her canine companions at the CARE Sanctuary. She truly enjoys the company of other dogs and would love to have another canine friend in her forever home to help show her the ropes and boost her confidence.

Roxy can be shy in new situations and around unfamiliar people, so she will need a little extra patience, love, and reassurance while she adjusts to her new home. It seems humans haven't always been kind to this sweet little mama, and yelling or chaotic environments can be scary for her. A calm, peaceful home where she can decompress and learn that she is finally safe would be ideal.

And if you really want to win Roxy over?? Bring on the treats and canned food! This girl is definitely food motivated-and, if we're being honest, the way to any girl's heart!

Roxy has spent her time caring for everyone else. She was a devoted mama, and now she deserves someone who will care for her.

She's looking for a loving, patient, and calm family who will give her the reassurance she needs to flourish. In return, Roxy will give you the gentle companionship, playful spirit, and unconditional love she was always meant to share.

Her puppies have found their happily ever after. Now it's time for their amazing mama to find hers.

Fill out a Match Me form online at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CAST/Dog to be preapproved.

All C.A.R.E rescue dogs are vaccinated, heart-worm tested, spayed/neutered, and microchipped! So all you need to provide is the love.

Our adoption fee is a minimum $150 tax deductible donation. All donations are used for rescue and medical care of animals in need. If you don't have room to take home a pet but want to support our efforts to save animals in need, please consider making a donation. C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
All animals are spayed / neutered before they are available for adoption. This helps reduce pet overpopulation in the Ozarks - the highest in the country. Each animal is current on vaccinations. Both dogs and cats must receive three total sets of vaccinations to prevent deadly animal diseases. All animals at C.A.R.E. are kept current on their vaccinations while in our care (All animals are vaccinated for Bordetella or "kennel cough", DA2PPV, CVK-puppies, DA2PPV, Lepto-adult dogs, FVRCP-C-kittens & adult cats). Dogs and cats above the age of 12 weeks old also receive their rabies shots and are sent home with a rabies certificate, collar, & rabies tag. If a puppy or kitten is adopted before they have received the total three vaccinations, it is the responsibility of the adopter to provide them. Each animal has been dewormed and treated for fleas. Worms are parasites that can cause serious damage to your pet. C.A.R.E. deworms all of the animals in our care.
