Roxy

Recently a Mama dog and her 12 week old puppy came into the shelter. Roxy (Mama) showed up at a nice lady's house a couple of months ago, very pregnant and looking for a safe place to have her puppies. She delivered 12, which is way too many for a dog her size, and 6 of them survived. The nice lady let her stay in order to have a good environment for raising her babes. The lady found homes for 5 of the 6 and she thought that maybe she would keep Roxy and the last babe for herself, but alas...it was not to be. The lady had to move to a new apartment that would not let her keep the mom and babe. So now Roxy and her daughter, Cupcake are at the shelter. Roxy is, quite simply put, the sweetest and most loving little compact dog that any of us have ever seen. She is an exquisite little lady who loves her puppy more than anything. She also knows how to sit on command :) She is a huge ball of love wrapped up in a compact, solid body.<br/><br/>Both Mama and baby have been spayed and vaccinated and are ready for their new homes. We would LOVE to see them go together- so much so that we are willing to offer a special rate for the special human that is willing to offer both a wonderful home.
