Roxy's Story

Meet Roxy: A Sweet, Loyal Companion Looking for Her Next Chapter
Roxy is an 8-year-old, 10-lb Maltese Mix looking for a loving home where she can shine. After losing her owner, Roxy is ready for a quiet, patient sanctuary where she can blossom at her own pace. Once she learns to trust you, she is a fiercely loyal cuddle bug who loves belly rubs, snuggling up, and sleeping nearby!
Quick Facts:
Age & Weight: 8 years old, 10 lbs (Spayed)
Health: Up to date on shots with a full dental workup. Currently completing treatment for Lyme Disease.
Hypoallergenic Potential: She has done remarkably well with her foster dad, who has allergic asthma, without triggering his allergies!
Favorite Things: Chicken treats, belly rubs, and hanging out with her favorite humans (she currently adores the 11-year-old girl in her foster home!).
The Ideal Home for Roxy:
Environment: A quiet, low-key household. She does best with children ages 10 and up who understand canine body language.
Dog Friends: Best as an only dog or paired with a respectful small dog who respects her personal space (she previously lived happily with her dog sibling, Nuno).
Patience & Boundaries: Roxy needs a family willing to give her time and space to warm up. She will nip if her space is invaded before shes comfortable, so clear boundaries are key.
Training & Habits: She prefers freedom over crates and leash walks, so a secure yard or indoor routine works best. She is currently working on perfecting her house training.
Give Roxy a little time, and she will reward you with a lifetime of devotion and love!

Brindle Buddies and Friends's Adoption Policy
All dogs are up to date on shots including rabies, microchipped, tested for heartworm and treated if needed, treated for worms (please note we do recommend taking a fecal sample to your vet as we use simple deworming) and also treated for fleas. All dogs are sent home with matching martingale collar and leash. We do recommend keeping the martingale on as they should not back out of these collars. Adoption fees range from $500 to $750. All animals in the household must be spay or neutered and up to date on shots. If you rent we will need to see proof that you can have animals. We do not adopt bully breeds out to renters.

Our Mission
We are a small 501c3 non profit group helping dogs find furever homes. Most of our dogs come from high kill shelters from the south. Our dogs are all in foster homes with other dogs, some with kids and cats. With our dogs being in foster care we can tell you how they are in the home.
