Roxie endured infection, harsh weather, and heartworm disease—but she never gave up. With help from Gem City DAWG Pound, she was finally freed and given the medical care, safety, and compassion she deserved.<br/><br/>Today, Roxie is a sweet and friendly 4-year-old Mastiff mix who is ready to love a family forever. She adores people and children of all ages, enjoys other dogs, and would do best with at least one canine companion. Shes also comfortable with cats.<br/><br/>Her foster describes Roxie as a wonderful indoor dog. She is house-trained and crate-trained, although she generally doesnt need to be crated. She doesnt chew household items and politely waits for an invitation before climbing onto the furniture. Roxie also walks beautifully on a standard leash, but retractable leashes frighten her and should be avoided.<br/><br/>Roxie loves car rides, splashing in the pool, and spending time with her people.
