Meet Roxie and Coco

Roxie and Coco are a bonded pair.
Left by their owner they were traumatized to be left in the shelter facing euthanasia. These dogs will not be separated and need to go home as a pair. They are 8yr old Lab mixes.

Coco is a quiet older girl who is a bit shy. She warms up a bit slowly but once she knows you she is happy for your love and attention. When Coco smiles she smiles from her eyes to her tail with a honest, direct look of appreciation. She is a good watch dog but does't bark unless she has reason. She enjoys her friend Roxie and shows no aggression to my other dogs. She is a little tender hearted and shuts down if she feels pressure but only if she is unsure of what is coming. Once in a routine, she is happy to oblige with the program! She is soft mouthed and has no issues with food. She has breakfast and dinner with Roxie and there have been no issues.
Coco didnt seem to know many commands and was uncomfortable with any pressure so will do best in a home where the pack leader is is gentle. She did best when approached at eye level. She is not a needy girl at all. She would like a home where she can relax with good company and be a good friend to someone.

Roxie is a friendy and smiley girl with a happy attitude once she knows you are okay. She is shy for a minute but loves a gentle approach by sitting or getting at eye level with her. She doesn't appear to have been trained but being an older dog she is easy to work with.
Roxie takes treats very well, does not appear to be food aggressive and is polite when fed with her friend Coco.
She does not appreciate being approached in her kennel by other dogs but has done well with most dogs when outside the kennel and properly introduced. She does have likes and dislikes in choosing her friends so a walk on a leash with potential friends is recommended.
Roxie does not show any aggression with anyone but will walk away if she feels uncomfortable. She is a little more shy with men but she warms up quickly.

Both of these girls are a breeze to care for. They are happy, house trained, walk well with no pulling on leashes, only bark when there is actually a new presence and have a calm demeanor.
