Roux's Story
From the behavior assessment: Roux has shown some improvement since his last evaluation, but he still struggles with overarousal during handling and interactions with people. When he becomes excited or frustrated, he often grabs the leash and may climb up it, so he should be handled with a chain leash for now to help manage this behavior.

He is also very reactive in his kennel toward both people and other dogs walking by, and his long stay in the shelter has made this behavior stronger. Roux will need significant socialization, desensitization, and training, and he should only be placed with an experienced rescue or adopter who is prepared to work closely with him.
