Ross 's Story

Ross is a very sweet 5-6 month old Border Collie/Lab mix. He is energetic and would be a great companion for a home that already has a dog(s). He has been around cats in his foster home and doesn't seem to be phased by them as they zoom past. He gets comfortable quickly in new surroundings and just wants to feel loved and safe, oh and to have someone to cuddle with. He walks well on a leash but can sometimes be spooked by rambunctious smaller kids. However, he is becoming more and more comfortable each day as his furry foster siblings show him the ropes. He is neutered, up to date on shots and heartworm tested negative. Paws 4 the Cause is an all volunteer "no kill" rescue. We do not harm animals, but the more we can adopt out, the more we can take in. We take in the hardest cases, dogs and cats that are close to death or starvation. The adoption fee barely covers a fraction of what we spend. Our average animal costs about $200 for the first month in food and vet fees, and approx. $50 per month thereafter. All donations are used to pay directly for animal food and vet expenses. There are no employee or overhead expenses.
