Rosie's Story

Meet Rosie

Rosie is a beautiful red-coated Pit Bull mix, around 7 years old, and she’s looking for a very special home. She was adopted from the shelter and spent nearly two years in a home before being returned, and now she’s hoping for a second chance with someone who understands her.

Rosie isn’t for everyone — and that’s okay. She has some stranger danger and needs more than one meet-and-greet to feel comfortable. Once she has time to build trust, her true personality begins to shine. She does wonderfully with our kennel staff, which shows that with patience, consistency, and respect for her boundaries, Rosie can absolutely warm up and form strong bonds.

Rosie will need a home without other dogs or cats, where she can be the center of attention. She’s spayed, mature, and past the puppy chaos — ready for a calm, predictable environment with someone willing to go at her pace.

If you believe in second chances, value a slower-building connection, and are looking for a loyal companion with a stunning red coat and a big heart beneath her cautious exterior, Rosie might be your girl.
