Meet Rosie

Adoptable Rosie!

Rosie and her siblings found themselves growing up in a rural animal shelter after being captured as young, feral puppies. They lived on a concrete slab outside for weeks, unable to be handled due to their fear of humans. Luckily for them, we just so happened to tour that shelter for our monthly shelter tour and knew we couldn't leave them behind. We work with feral dogs quite often, and their transformation is one of the biggest motivators to keep us operating this mission. We are so excited to share that these puppies have made a huge transformation and are finally ready to find their families. We believe they are lab mixes and are about 5-6 months old. Rosie is currently about 25 pounds and will likely grow to be around 50 pounds. Here are some notes about Rosie from her foster:

"Rosie was actually the most brave of her siblings when we first met them. She wasn't afraid to come up and investigate us through the kennel walls. She was the first to take treats and pets. She has only grown more and more confident with each day! She loves to be pet and will follow you around and jump up on you for more scratches. She is very treat motivated and will go to her crate for a treat. She is crate trained and mostly potty trained with rare accidents. Rosie loves to take naps in her crate or on the bed or couch. When not playing with her friends, she is looking for a cozy place to snooze indoors or sunbathe in the yard.
Although Rosie has built a ton of confidence in the last month, she will need very patient and loving adopters who will be motivated to help her continue building confidence. Another dog in the home is required, as that helps dogs like Rosie thrive. She is still not comfortable on a leash, (but making progress), so we think a fenced yard would be best for her. There is no doubt she has a ton of heart left to win over and will likely be an even bigger snuggle bug and loveable girl with her forever family!"

Rose is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and prevention, and microchipped. If interested in adopting her, please fill out the adoption application found on our website:
