ROSIE's Story

**ROSIE HAS WAITED LONG ENOUGH.**

Rosie has been at ARF since **July of 2024**.

July 2024.

That means this beautiful girl has spent more than two years waiting for someone to finally say, **“She’s ours. We choose Rosie.”**

And she has waited far too long for her happy ending.

Rosie’s story is heartbreaking.

At just **four months old**, Rosie was dumped from a car and tossed at a volunteer outside ARF. The car drove away, leaving a tiny, confused puppy behind. She didn’t understand what had happened. She was just a baby.

And yet, somehow, Rosie learned to trust again.

Since that day, Rosie has grown up here at ARF. She has watched countless dogs arrive, meet their families, and walk out the doors toward the lives they deserved.

She has watched them leave.

And she is still here.

Still waiting.

Still hoping.

Still wondering when it will finally be her turn.

Rosie is such a fun-loving, energetic girl. One of her favorite things in the world is WATER. Give her a water bowl and she will turn it into her own personal swimming pool! Splashing, playing, making a mess—Rosie doesn't care. She is simply having the time of her life.

And honestly, we can't help but smile when we watch her.

She would be an amazing companion for an active family who wants a dog to experience life with. Hiking? Yes. Long walks? Absolutely. Adventures? Sign her up. A trip to the lake?

**Rosie will be the first one in the water. **

At around **45–50 pounds**, Rosie is a bigger girl with an even bigger heart.

She has the sweetest, most expressive face, and there is something about her that makes you want to reach through the kennel door and tell her, *“Your family is coming. Please don't give up.”*

Rosie loves her walks, but we think her greatest dream is much bigger than that.

We think she dreams of walking out of the ARF doors **one last time**.

Not for another walk.

Not for another visit.

But to hop into a car, look out the window, and finally realize:

**“I'm going home.”**

Rosie is not a good fit for a home with cats. Her enthusiasm can also be a little overwhelming for lower-energy dogs. She would likely thrive as the only pet or with another dog her size who can match her playful, energetic spirit.

With consistency, patience, structure, and daily guidance, we truly believe Rosie will be a wonderful dog. She wants so badly to please the people she loves. She just needs someone willing to give her the time, direction, and love she deserves.

Someone failed Rosie once.

Someone looked at a four-month-old puppy and decided she didn't matter.

**We refuse to let that be the story of the rest of her life.**

Rosie matters.

She is loved.

She is beautiful.

She is funny, playful, affectionate, resilient, and overflowing with personality.

And somewhere out there, we believe her person is looking for her too.

We just need to help them find each other.

**ROSIE HAS WAITED LONG ENOUGH.**

If you're looking for a fun, energetic, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling, **Rosie is your girl.**

And if there's water nearby?

Well... prepare yourself.

Rosie is probably already in it.

We aren't certain of her exact breed, but we believe Rosie is a terrier mix, possibly with Border Collie or Labrador Retriever mixed in. Whatever her breed may be, one thing is certain:

**The mix that makes up Rosie’s soul is absolutely beautiful.**

Vibrant.

Resilient.

Playful.

And overflowing with love.

Now, after all this time, Rosie doesn't need much.

She doesn't need the perfect family.

She doesn't need a fancy house.

She doesn't need a million toys.

**She just needs someone to choose her.**

Could that someone be you?

If you think Rosie might be the missing piece in your family, please submit an adoption application. We would love to schedule a meet-and-greet and introduce you to this incredible girl.

**Adoption fee: $100**

#How to Adopt Rosie

Animal Rescue of Fresno (ARF) is a volunteer-managed and operated dog rescue.
