Meet Rosie
COMING SOON - Although this dog is not ready for adoption, you are welcome to submit an adoption application now at www.marilynsvoice.org, click on adopt, then click on adoption application. Thank you!
Rosie will be ready for adoption once she is spayed.
Rosie – West Highland Terrier/Jack Russell mix. If you are looking for a best friend who is full of love and spunk stop looking! Rosie will be the first to greet you in the morning, snuggle all day and generally worship you. Always up for a walk or play, a car ride or watching a movie with you on the couch she will be a wonderful addition to the right household.
Rosie is 30 lbs, approximately 1 year old, house trained, crate trained and is good with other dogs. However, it is recommended that any other dogs have a strong play drive and not easily intimidated by rough play. A house with a fenced in yard and another dog(s) is encouraged as Rosie has a lot of energy.
Because of her resource guarding and rough play, she is not recommended for households with children.
Rosie is not for the first-time dog owner! She is super smart, determined and persistent – she will be happy to rule the household given the chance. The right human for Rosie will be patient and more determined to set boundaries. She is highly trainable but will stretch your last nerve before she chooses to obey! Her foster Mom is often found singing “How Do You Solve a Problem like Maria (my Rosie)”.
Rosie needs additional leash training and someone to work on her aggressive greetings to strangers. Much of Rosie’s leash pulling was resolved with a no-pull harness, but sometimes still a struggle to get her to calm down.
All-in-all Rosie is a delightful puppy, in need of a loving home. Contact us if you think you are the right human for her.
