Rosie's Story
Sometimes loving a dog means making the hardest decision.

Meet Rosie, a 4-month-old AKC-registered Black Lab puppy with endless love, endless energy, and a whole lot of life ahead of her.

Rosie's family adores her, but they realized they couldn't give this sweet, active girl the exercise and lifestyle she needs to truly thrive. Their hearts are already heavy after recently losing their beloved dog. We saw firsthand how difficult this decision was. They chose what was best for Rosie, even though it broke their hearts.

Rosie is an active puppy so young young children may not be a great fit (because she'll want to play with them).

Before going to her forever home, Rosie will be spayed (appointment made), microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We put that she is spayed in this system so that potential adopters know that is a condition of our adoption. We will not finalize adoptions of unaltered pets.

To adopt one of our animals, the first step is filling out OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://tapsusa.org/why-adopt/application/ (Please copy and paste the link into your browser.)

Please make sure you get a confirmation that your application has been submitted.

If you are a match for one of our pets, we will reach out to you to schedule a meet and greet. All meet and greets are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

The Animal Protectorates
c/o Friendsville Animal Center
706 Kiser Station Road
Friendsville, TN 37737

All animals are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before they go to new homes because that's the responsible way to keep them all safe.

We only adopt to local homes in the immediate vicinity (20 miles from 37737) because we utilize our volunteer force to process home visits. Photos of your home, letters of reference are not acceptable which is why we only adopt locally. Only in very rare circumstances do we adopt out of area. Examples of this would be finding the perfect home for a senior animal or one that has other special needs that we have not been able to place locally for an extended period of time.

Thank you for wanting to adopt.
