Rosemary's Story
Rosemary aka Rosy was found in a local forest preserve in January. She was underweight, still could gain a couple pounds, malnourished, matted and had urine stains on her paws. She took to people and dogs quickly. Rosy is a puppy with puppy playfulness and wants to be loved. She was introduced to other dogs and has done well. We don't know how she ended up lose in the forest preserve and are shocked she survived. She did fine in a crate overnight, cried for a little bit but then kept her crate clean. The only way we know for dogs to get urine stained paws is if they were forced to stand in their own urine for long periods of time and over time. Rosy deserves someone who will love her, get her on a good feeding and potty schedule. We don't know yet about her potty training as we haven't had her long. However, she has gone potty outside and loves the snow. She had to be shaved down so she definitely needs a sweater/jacket on when outside. If interested in adopting Rosemary, please go to https://www.sainrescue.org/applications-contact-us/adoption-application/ and complete the adoption application. Once reviewed, we will contact you. Applicants should reside within about 50 miles of Bartlett.
