Rose's Story
Meet Rose!

Rose is an 8-month-old Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her personality! Weighing in at about 35 lbs, this smart girl is already potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained—a total overachiever. She enjoys leading the way on walks but heels nicely when asked. She’s not a big puller, though squirrels do make her inner puppy squeal with excitement —so a cat-free home is best for Rose.

When it comes to playtime, Rose says YES to all the toys! Bones, squeakers, Kongs, ropes, balls—you name it, she loves it. She’ll happily fetch and return tennis balls (bonus points!), sits politely before meals, and even offers her paw without being asked. Smart and charming? Absolutely.

Rose has a medium energy level with some playful puppy antics when she gets bored. She loves walks and enjoys playing with other dogs. She can be a little growly during first introductions, but once she gets to know another pup, she settles in and becomes playful. Because she plays a bit rough, she’d do best with a dog-savvy companion who can both tolerate and gently correct her—which she responds well to.

People are Rose’s favorite thing in the world. She loves them so much that she sometimes jumps with excitement—something her foster is actively working on. Because of her enthusiasm, we recommend a home with kids 10 and up.

If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, toy-loving adventure buddy who’s eager to learn and love, Rose might be your perfect match!

Please email adoptions@suncoastanimalleague.org if you are interested in meeting Rose.
