Rose's Story

**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Meet Rose, a 1-year-old Lab/Terrier mix, 42lbs, up for adoption. Unfortunately, her human parents were getting a divorce and neither new residence was able to keep her due to allergies and long work hours. She is a playful, energetic sweet, cuddle-bug. Rose loves to be right next to you, she loves the outdoors and her favorite thing is chewing on sticks—her owner states that she’s not found anything that she dislikes! She has a favorite blanket with her that she likes to chew like a pacifier! As far as being around other dogs she is good with the dog in her prior home but hasn’t been with other dogs too much. She is good with kids and housebroken.

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
