Rose's Story

COURTESY POST: PLEASE ONLY CALL SUNNY 818-684-6669

Rose is a petite 2-year-old pittie mix who bonds deeply with her person. Once she knows you, she’s affectionate, goofy and eager to please. But life hasn’t been kind to Rose so far—she’s been shuffled from one uncertain situation to another through no fault of her own.

She was first surrendered to the shelter at just a year old due to landlord issues. She was lucky to be adopted, but sadly, it wasn’t the right match. Rose spent much of her time isolated in a crate or left alone on a balcony. That kind of environment left its mark and Rose came out of it with some fear-based reactivity and trust issues, especially around strangers. But underneath the fear is a dog who wants to trust, to bond, and to love. It doesn’t take much to win her over; just a couple of treats offered with a gentle handle.

Rose has successfully lived in a home with small dogs and cats—she’s a respectful roommate when introductions are done right. What she really needs now is a confident, patient, and dog-savvy adopter—someone who understands that healing takes time and who’s ready to go at Rose’s pace.

With slow introductions, consistency, and love, Rose reveals the best parts of herself: she’s sweet, loyal, funny and truly wants to connect. Her ideal home is one where she’ll never be discarded or forgotten again—a quiet, stable place where she can finally feel safe.

If you believe in second chances and have the heart to help a dog rediscover what it means to feel secure and loved, Rose is waiting to meet you.

To learn more about Rose, or to arrange to meet this special girl, please call Sunny at (818) 694-6669
