Rose's Story

Daisy and Rose are a pair of medium-sized shepherd mix sisters with hearts as big as their journey. Found feral on the backroads of Eastern Kentucky, they’ve come so far from their timid beginnings.

We believe Daisy and Rose were dumped with their two brothers. When they were brought in, they were very skinny and terrified. Sadly, because they were so scared, and because the shelter had limited space, they quickly found themselves on the euthanasia list. We took in Daisy and Rose to give them a fair chance at finding their fur-ever family.

Their brother, Murphy, has already found his perfect match. He sent this note to us to share with anyone who might consider opening up their home to his sisters:

“Hi Fields of Freedom friends! Thank you so much for helping me find my new family in New York. I loveeee it here! I get to be in the house, and I haven’t had one accident. My human seems to be really proud of me for that. I get to cuddle with them all the time, even on the bed! How crazy is that? I hope my sisters find a bed like this soon, it’s so comfy and warm. They deserve to cuddle with a human too, I’ve learned that it’s kinda the best. If I could say one thing to anyone considering giving my sisters all the love they deserve it would be this – do it. Please give them a chance to show you just how perfect they are. I know they’ll thank you with cuddles and love for the rest of their days. Hugs, Murphy.”

Like their brother, these smart, sweet girls are learning to trust humans more every day, and their gratitude for love and safety shines through. Daisy and Rose share a kennel, love to cuddle each other, and show signs of being house-trained. They’re getting better on the leash with every walk, and they are great with kids and other dogs.

While Daisy and Rose would love to stay together, they can also be adopted separately. All they need is a patient home to help them blossom into the amazing companions they’re destined to be. They can’t wait to meet you!
