Roscoe's Story

Roscoe is one of those dogs who just seems to roll with whatever is going on.
This 60-pound boy came to us through no fault of his own, and he has been nothing but wonderful since arriving.

Roscoe has been friendly with every person he has met here and is always happy to make a new friend. He is also neutral around other dogs and has even made a few dog friends while he’s been with us.

And if you’re looking for a dog who knows how to settle down, Roscoe has that part figured out too. He has been attending training class and, while all the excitement is going on around him, he will literally just lay down in the middle of class and relax. He’s happy to participate, but he doesn’t feel the need to be involved in every single thing happening around him.

Roscoe is just a really good, easygoing boy who is ready for the next chapter of his life.

Bellwether Harbor's Adoption Policy
Bellwether Harbor does not do same day adoptions. Please keep in mind multiple visits to the shelter may be required. This number is determined various factors including the potential adopter’s experience and the training level/potential behavior issues of the animal. If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat, please fill out an application on the shelter website. After the application has been received, the Adoption Coordinator will conduct a landlord check and vet check (where applicable). If approved, applicants are contacted for a phone interview, after which an appointment may be set up to meet the animal. Please note: Applying for an animal does not guarantee adoption of said animal. Adoptions are approved based on a variety of factors. We do our best to match animals with the best homes, not the first homes. It is possible that adoption of a specific animal will be denied even if the application is approved. For more information on the adoption process, please visit http://www.bellwetherharbor.org/adoptions/the-process/
