Roscoe 's Story
ID 59874222

Meet Roscoe! This handsomely coated boy of about 5-6 yrs of age had a home at one time, but was found as a stray and was very scared/ unsure when he arrived at the shelter. It took him some time to warm up and feel safe with the folks trying to help him. This is not unusual for dogs that had a home at one time. The shelter is an unsettling chaotic place to be in after the comforts of a home.

Roscoe slowly broke out of his shell and started to trust. He found that getting out of his kennel meant going outside to embrace the outdoors and have some freedom in the yard. He does love to roll in the snow, and run laps. There are times Roscoe prefers slower introductions with new people just to make sure all is ok. He does love pets of praise when he feels comfortable and will happily frolic around. He loves a good treat, knows sit, and would benefit from training to create a bond between with his new human best friend.

Roscoe is already neutered, and on his initial dog/dog assessment, he showed he prefers the company of female canines over the males. We do require a meet /greet with any resident dog in a home.

Roscoe can appear a bit overwhelmed in his kennel when walking by and does much better once out. If you can give Roscoe a new place to call his own, help him adjust to a new environment and give him the leadership he would love, please come and meet him.
