Rosco's Story

This poor boy Rosco was found tied to a tree in the middle of the woods, in rural Vermont! Luckily, he was found and taken in by a sweet couple who have been taking great care of him, got him neutered and up to date on shots, etc. Unfortunately, they really can't keep him permanently and are trying to find the forever home and family that Rosco truly deserves.

Australian Cattle Dog (we think)

2-4 years old the Vet guesses, 60lbs

Neutered/UTD on vaccines

Loves to play, great in a leash!

Can be food aggressive and wants to be top dog, so he could use someone with experience in training. We don't know how long he was in the woods so it could be a trauma or anxiety response. Most behaviors like this are able to be worked on and ultimately resolved! The couple has 2 other dogs, so I am pretty sure he gets along with other dogs. (I'm working on finding out more) Usually with the correct introduction most dogs can learn to love or at least tolerate each other :)

Rosco is a very sweet dog and loves his rescue family that found him. He is ready to take the next steps in learning how to be a dog again and find his forever family, or possibly a new foster home. We hate to shuffle him around too much, but we will entertain any interest in Rosco and see if it's a good fit!

This is a rehoming situation so not a typical adoption through our rescue, we are helping these folks find Rosco a good home, so our typical adoption fee will not apply here. Details can be discussed with his current family.

Please share and reach out if you have any interested in showing Rosco not all humans are bad; not all humans will abandon you in the most horrific way where you can't fend for yourself and it's ok to be a happy doggy again!
