Rosa's Story

Meet Rosa (aka Rosie aka Potato). This beautiful girl is estimated to be 6 years old, and while still on her weight loss/maintenance journey, is now 58lbs (down from 65, aiming for 55) This snorty girl is full of personality and has never met a person she doesn’t like – she has been a wonderful “co-host” for several 15-20 person events at her foster home, sits patiently for children to pet her, and frequently needs to be reminded that not everyone wants a million kisses. While a huge lovebug, Rosie is more of a “next to you” dog than an “on top of you” dog and enjoys just being in the same room as her people, entertaining herself with her basket of toys as needed.

When the weather is nice, she loves being outside patrolling her yard for squirrels, napping under a tree, or exploring on a walk. While Rosa doesn’t have huge energy needs, she has happily gone for 2-3 mile walks. But she is equally content with a slow stroll around the block and a Netflix marathon. She is a model passenger when in the car, though due to her short and stocky frame, may need a little assistance jumping in.

Of the numerous dogs her fosters have experienced, Rosie’s foster family reports that, while she may not be the smartest, she is definitely one of the sweetest. She also wins the award for “widest assortment of sounds” by a mile – snorts, snores, grumbles, grunts, gurgles…but no barking (weird, we know!)

If you are looking for a great family dog, a best friend to spend your day with, or want a sound machine that enjoys belly rubs, fill out an application to learn more about this happy miniature house hippo.

Apply to meet Rosa on the link below today and let her make your life more beautiful.

https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HOTD/Dog
