They were so weak and frail that it was clear they had suffered severe neglect, looking like they were moments away from giving up. The people knew they had no choice, and one kind soul took all four puppies in. Tragically, one of the little ones was already too weak to survive and passed away shortly after being rescued. But for the others, this was the first glimmer of hope they had ever known. The lady asked around for help and that was when Claudia stepped in and took them in. After a vet visit, and all tests and treatments very much needed were done, they got healthy and ready for a better future.<br/><br/>Roony looks like a Rhodesian Ridgeback Shepherd mix, is 1.5 years old and weighs around 13.25 kilos.<br/><br/>Roony is a happy, affectionate pup who just needs a little time to feel safe before he shows you how much love he has to give. Once he trusts you, he is all in—offering tail wags, soft snuggles, and the sweetest loyalty you could ever hope for. He loves humans of all ages and greets visitors at the shelter with a shy smile that quickly turns into warm enthusiasm. He is playful and gentle, full of gratitude for every meal, every cuddle, and every moment of kindness. Roony is wonderful on a leash, calmly exploring the world and meeting other dogs along the way. He is also past the puppy chewing stage and enjoys playtime—especially tug-of-war—with quiet naps. Although he gets stressed a little in the car (most of his rides have been vet visits, can you blame him?), he settles well and is used to sleeping comfortably in a crate. Loud noises like thunderstorms and fireworks don’t bother him at all. This smart boy already knows commands like “ven” (come), “sentado” (sit), and “no,” and he loves learning new things.
