Roo - Winnie the Pooh Litter's Story

Meet Roo — aka Rupert, the honorary member of the Winnie the Pooh litter and quite possibly the most chaotic free agent in the 2026 adoption draft.

Roo isn’t actually related to the others and is probably around 14–15 weeks old. He was abandoned by his biological mom as a tiny baby, but sweet Mama Robin took him in and raised him right alongside her own puppies.

His scouting report? EXTREMELY outgoing, ridiculously happy, wildly playful and fully convinced that rules are more like... suggestions.

Roo has never met a stranger and approaches basically everything in life at full speed. He is all about play, play, PLAY.

His favorite hobbies include zoomies, wrestling with his siblings, biting toes and barking VERY loudly when he feels his opinions are not being taken seriously.

Does he test boundaries? Constantly.
Does he push the rules a little further every single day? Absolutely.
Is he cute enough to keep getting away with it? Unfortunately, yes.

Our best guess is that Roo is some kind of small-breed Border Collie mix, and he has the prettiest blue rings around his brown eyes.

Roo had a ROUGH first season, battling fleas, ticks, anemia, worms, a URI and scabies.

But that season is officially OVER.

He’s healthy, happy, completely healed and doing really well with potty training. Roo absolutely LOVES other dogs and will need a home with a doggy sibling to play with, learn from and probably recruit for future crimes.

Now we just need to get this slightly unhinged little guy DRAFTED.

If you’re looking for an outgoing, hilarious rescue puppy in the Fort Worth/DFW area who loves with his whole heart and lives life at full speed, Roo might just be your first-round pick.

And if he’s not? SHARE him. His team might be on your friends list.

Approx. 14–15 weeks old
Male
Small-breed Border Collie mix — best guess
Fort Worth, TX
Doggy sibling required

Apply to adopt Roo through Fort Worth Abandoned Animal Alliance.

#AdoptableDog #RescuePuppy #FortWorthDogs #DFWDogs #AdoptDontShop
