Roo's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Roo Roo is a sweet, energetic girl who recently came into our care and is learning what it means to be a dog with structure, guidance, and consistency. Like many dogs who haven’t had a strong foundation early on, Roo is still figuring out basic skills, boundaries, and how to slow her busy brain down — and that’s okay.
Roo does need work. She’s not a “plug and play” dog, and we want to be very transparent about that. She’s learning leash skills, impulse control, and how to make good choices when excitement takes over. She benefits from routine, clear expectations, and continued training to help her build confidence and manners.
That said — Roo has so much potential.
She’s affectionate, eager, and genuinely wants to engage with her people. When given structure and consistency, you can see how quickly she starts to connect the dots. Roo is the kind of dog who will absolutely thrive with someone willing to put in the time and effort to help her grow — and she will repay that commitment with loyalty, personality, and love.
Roo would do best in a home that understands that training isn’t a quick fix, but a process. Someone who sees her not for where she is right now, but for the amazing dog she’s becoming.
With patience, guidance, and continued work, Roo is going to be a really great dog. We truly believe that.
If you’re interested in learning more about Roo or supporting her journey, please reach out
