Roo's Story

Roo has no idea that the first day of her better forever started on what was supposed to be the last day of her life.

As a puppy, Roo never was taught not to be mouthy when she wanted to play or be pet. Instead, she was brought to our clinic for a behavioral euthanasia when her owners were fed up. When we went into the exam room to meet her, her personality filled the whole room. She greeted her doctor and nurses with the biggest smile and all the tail wags. It was obvious to us that she was not aggressive and just needed a family that was a better fit for her. We took her into our care and the rest is history!

Roo has been doing amazing in foster life! She has several foster siblings that she adores and is so eager to please her foster family. She is now totally crate and potty trained. She has also learned how to sit, stay, lay down, heel, and kennel (which we call her box). Her vet has given her a clean bill of health and she is ready to head to her new home!

Roo's perfect home would have a big yard and another pup or two to play with. Her ideal family would have a job for her to do or lots of stimulating activities for both her mind and body. She is a very smart high functioning dog who needs to exercise all of her muscles.

Roo is currently located in Nashville, TN with her foster family and can be transported from there all the way up to the Philadelphia area. Adoption fee is dependent on transport costs but our biggest priority is that she gets the home she deserves!
