Ronnie's Story

Ronnie is a 5-year-old mixed-breed sweetheart who's already overcome more than most dogs ever should. He was picked up as a stray in Los Angeles and came dangerously close to not making it out of the municipal shelter. Thankfully, a dedicated rescue network stepped in, and Family Dog welcomed him into rescue.

After being saved, Ronnie spent several weeks in a foster home with a professional trainer who was involved in his rescue. Thanks to that great start, he's crate trained, potty trained, and has learned some basic manners.

The best thing about Ronnie? He doesn't ask for much. He's a laid-back, easygoing guy who simply wants a forever person to love-and to love him right back.

Ronnie's favorite things include playing fetch, getting belly rubs, and staying close to his people. He's happiest when he's spending time with the humans he trusts.

He's still learning about walks. Ronnie doesn't pull on the leash, but he seems to have had limited experience with regular walks before coming into rescue, so he's still figuring out the rhythm and routine. With a little patience and consistency, he's sure to gain confidence.

Ronnie is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and ready to find the home he's been waiting for.

This special boy has come so far and truly deserves the happy ending he's worked so hard for. Could you be the person he's been waiting for?
