Romondo's Story

Romondo landed in a local Washington State Shelter in November of 2024. The shelter environment proved to be extremely stressful and frightening for him, making it difficult to assess who he really is. Luckily for him, he was taken into a loving foster home where he could decompress and thrive. Romondo has been transferred to Lucky Paws Rescue and we are looking for his perfect forever home!

Romondo is a 3-year-old handsome boy. Curiosity got the best of us, so we did a Wisdom DNA panel on him and found out that he is an Alaskan Malamute/Great Dane/Great Pyrenees Mix, along with a small amount of Siberian Husky and Australia Shepherd. He weighs around 110 pounds. Romondo loves his people, loves attention, and belly scratches. He is built for the outdoors and loves to be outside. He would love to live on fully fenced property where he could sniff and explore. He also loves to just sit quietly and watch over everything. He is not an escape artist—he doesn't climb, jump over, or dig under fencing. He does like to dig, however. As much as he loves the outdoors, he loves being with his people--he would probably love to cuddle up with you and watch TV in the evenings.

He enjoys leash walks around the neighborhood. He is strong and a puller, but his foster parents have been working with him and he's doing very well. He gets excited when walking past people and dogs, but it's just excitement and desire to meet them.

Romondo enjoys playing with other friendly dogs. (not too small, since he's a big guy) He does have a prey drive for very small critters—the squirrels, rats, etc. He has been great around the large farm animals in his foster home. We would suggest no chickens, cats, etc. because of his drive to chase those small critters.
He also LOVES to go for car rides! (He is reactive in the car and will bark at people...but sure loves those rides!)

There is so much more to say about this handsome boy! He has amazing foster parents who are working daily with Romondo to help him be a happy and secure dog! If you believe he would be a great addition to your family, please submit an application here:

https://form.jotform.com/50488470409157
Western WA State - Olympia/Tacoma/Seattle/Surrounding Areas
