Romero's Story
Calling all chihuahua lovers! Meet Romero! This cute little guy was surrendered to the Franklin Township Animal Shelter when his elderly owner entered a nursing home. Romero is 10-12 years old and takes daily medication to treat a heart condition, hypothyroidism, and arthritis. He is looking for a quiet, adult-only forever home. Romero needs time to become acquainted with you, but once he does, he’s a lover! He would probably be okay with a canine companion, and would tolerate/leave alone a cat as long as they leave him alone. Romero qualifies for our Seniors For Seniors Program. If he is adopted by a person 60 years of age or older, his adoption fee will be waived.
