Romeo Montague's Story

FENCED YARD AND COMPANION DOG REQUIRED

Romeo is a 4 year old corgi! Before he came to Needy Paws he wasn't taught how to be a pet dog very well, but he has made great strides! Romeo is sweet and gentle to people and is very considerate of other dogs. Sometimes he gets the zoomies and will run around for a few minutes. He likes following his foster siblings around to see how they "dog" and he always wants some pets when he sees them getting attention. He loves being brushed as long as his people start slow.

Due to his background Romeo is shy and is startled at sudden movements. He is learning how to walk on a leash but he doesn't really like it. He also can be afraid of going through doorways so he will need to be carried occasionally. He will require a fenced yard.

The ideal home for Romeo will have at least 1 other dog he can learn from, as well as some understanding humans to help him grow. Despite his shy nature, he is a fun dog to have around who likes playing, getting pets, and collecting toys to put in his crate.

If you are interested, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO.

Romeo Montague’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.

We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
