Rome's Story

I have been a lot of new places, met a lot of new faces, and let's just say I'm over it. I am ready to get back to the comfy life I have always known.
If you know shepherds you know we have traits and certain tendencies, which make us a breed that is not for everyone. On the flip side, you also know how loyal, smart and protective we can be. I would love to join a family who understands me.

I have been working hard on training with my foster and it's obvious, I love to work, even if it's just for kibble! I arrived to my foster home with some anxiety, but with some routine and consistency I have been improving every single day.
The sooner I find my furever, the better- I don't want to settle into my foster and have to move again!! I could be an only dog, but if I have fur sibling they will need to accept me for me. If they are anxious we probably won't mesh. I have shown a slight prey drive towards the small dog here.
I have lived with kids before, I like them! But remember, I am a shepherd... I might try to herd them if they run! It's all in fun, but older kids are probably best. Here are some notes from my foster:
potty trained
crate trained
fixed, microchipped, up to date vaccinations
training will be so important
typical vocal shepherd

Rome is such a beautiful shepherd. I am hopeful for his future family to give him the consistency he deserves. Bouncing around a shepherd is so hard on them, so come on, let's get this boy home!
